Mike has a diverse legal practice focused primarily on large-scale commercial and residential first-party property damage as well as catastrophic personal injury. For the first 18 years of his career, Mike worked as a defense attorney for one of the southeast's most prominent defense firms. Mike shifted his focus and now advocates for individuals and businesses who have suffered storm-related and other property losses. Additionally, Mike focuses a large portion of his practice assisting individuals and families who have suffered serious injuries or death as a result of another's fault.
Mike's litigation experience makes him uniquely positioned to analyze the impact of issues from both sides of the aisle. His extensive career experience of handling first-party insurance and personal injury claims totaling hundreds of millions of dollars goes to work for his clients everyday.
Mike was born and raised in Louisiana. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, Mike returned to his home state to pursue law. He earned his J.D. from Louisiana State University in 2002.Mike is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.
